MTTC Practice Test

Anyone seeking initial teacher certification or adding endorsements in Michigan must pass the appropriate MTTC test(s). This includes new teachers, out-of-state educators transferring credentials, and current teachers adding new subject areas.

Register online through the official MTTC website (via Pearson). Create an account, select your test, pay the fee, and schedule a date at a testing center or online (if available). You can register up to the day before the test.

There are over 100 MTTC subject-area tests, including Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Secondary subjects (Math, English, Science), Special Education, and world languages. Some tests have subtests that must be passed separately.
